Design Engineer, Application Software for High-Power Converters

We are strengthening our high-power converter development team as we are creating a new generation of game-changing low voltage megawatt-class frequency converters. Our team is mainly located in Finland and Norway where our factories also are located. Our typical drive product is DC-distribution with batteries for marine industry, we flavor the products with our game-changing protection concept. Our current product generation is in use on 150+ vessels with more than 4 GW installed power in total. Read more about what you would be working with here!

We are looking for a curious, technology-driven, and problem-solving person to join our team in either Vaasa or Lappeenranta. Your main task will be PLC software development of our 690 V AC power conversion and DC distribution systems, but the scope of the task can be modified according to your level of expertise and knowledge. Although experience is of great advantage in the role, we also consider applications from enthusiastic newly graduates!

Your responsibilities

• PLC software development
• Participating in our product development and delivery projects
• Creating documentation for delivery projects
• Technical customer support, commissioning, and site support
• Supporting test activities related to the product and delivery projects
• Co-operating with relevant stakeholders

What we expect from you

• BSc or MSc in electrical or automation engineering
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming
• Basic knowledge of automation and/or frequency converters
• Good teamwork and communication skills in written and spoken English
• Problem solving capabilities
